We are seeking a proactive and dedicated Safety, Health & Wellbeing Business Partner to join our team and contribute to the ongoing success of our safety and wellbeing initiatives.
As the Safety, Health & Wellbeing Business Partner, you will be instrumental in implementing National Safety, Health & Wellbeing Strategies at the site level, while also tailoring strategies to meet local needs and trends.
Key Responsibilities- Safety, Health & Wellbeing:
- Comply with and promote all occupational health and safety policies, procedures, and safe systems of work to protect employees, customers, contractors, and visitors.
- Drive and model safe behaviours by applying a risk-based approach, setting clear standards, and enforcing them.
- Implement and ensure adherence to safe systems of work, guiding team members to do the same.
- Coordinate and support on-site safety and wellbeing focus topics to engage team members and promote a safety-first culture.
- Risk Management:
- Implement risk management procedures to identify, assess, and control risks to an acceptable standard using the Hierarchy of Controls.
- Manage risks associated with workplace changes, including new initiatives, processes, and equipment.
- Support site leadership in maintaining legislative compliance regarding contractors, equipment, facilities, and chemicals.
- Deliver engaging manual handling training that meets all expectations.
- Safety, Health & Wellbeing Leadership:
- Develop a Safety Business Plan that aligns with National SH&W strategies and addresses local risks and opportunities.
- Champion wellbeing initiatives and support the development of activities to promote team member wellness.
- Mentor site leadership to achieve quality SH&W outcomes and address occupational and public health risks.
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in Supply Chain, Logistics, Distribution, or Warehousing.
- Ability to support multiple sites as needed.
- Strong technical knowledge of OH&S legislation and standards.
- Proven stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence outcomes.
- Capable of troubleshooting and driving action in the face of project delays.
