The University of Adelaide seeks a highly skilled Strategic Government Liaison Professional to join its Media and Corporate Relations branch. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in positioning the university as a respected thought leader and driver of social and economic prosperity in South Australia.

Reporting to the Head of Government Relations and Protocol, you will work with a degree of autonomy to operationalise, maintain and realise the benefits of effective university-wide partnerships with government stakeholders. Your primary responsibility will be to provide advice and assistance to various areas across the university that develop mutually beneficial partnerships with government stakeholders.

To succeed in this role, you will need to have:

  • Demonstrated ability and experience in building and managing stakeholder relationships, particularly with government stakeholders.
  • A background in government relations and working knowledge of the political and government environment.
  • High-level experience in policy analysis and evaluation, preparation of submissions, briefs and position papers, and identification of strategic opportunities, business needs, and political context.
