Financial Services Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Project and Change Coordinator to lead the delivery of various projects within a financial services environment at the Department of Treasury and Finance in South Australia. This pivotal role will involve working with stakeholders in Shared Services SA, overseeing the end-to-end delivery of projects, process improvements, and change management activities.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in applying project management principles to effectively lead complex projects that have significant impact on organisational objectives. They will also possess strong communication skills, including verbal and written communication, as well as the ability to effectively manage staff and foster initiative.
In this role, you will be responsible for liaising with stakeholders to facilitate cooperation and support in achieving outcomes, establishing and maintaining strong working relationships, and identifying strategic and operational issues to develop creative strategies for resolution.
You will work closely with the Financial Services team to deliver high-quality results and contribute to the success of the department. About the Role
- Project Management: The successful applicant will have experience in applying expert project management knowledge to lead and undertake complex projects that have critical importance and significant impact on organisational objectives.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) are essential to effectively interact with stakeholders and manage staff.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead and manage staff to foster initiative, promote teamwork, achieve outcomes, evoke creative and innovative thinking, and meet deadlines.
- Liaison: Ability to effectively liaison and work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders to facilitate cooperation and support in achieving outcomes.
- Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to identify strategic and operational issues, think laterally, and apply analytical, qualitative, and research skills to develop appropriate creative strategies for resolution.
