Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Comprehensive Assessments: Conduct thorough assessments of candidates with a range of disabilities and barriers to employment, utilizing your expertise in psychology and allied health.
  • Provide Counselling Interventions: Offer counselling interventions as needed, utilizing various psychological methodologies to support candidates in achieving their goals.
  • Refer to External Support Services: Refer candidates to additional external support services to help address barriers to employment, ensuring they receive the necessary support to succeed.
  • Evaluate Assessments and Monitor Progress: Provide evaluations on assessments and monitor the progression of cases, ensuring candidates receive ongoing support and guidance.
  • Liaise with Medical Professionals and Community Agencies: Liaise with medical professionals and community agencies on behalf of candidates, ensuring seamless communication and coordination of care.
  • Provide Training and Guidance: Provide training and guidance to atWork Australia staff on psychological services and procedures, sharing your expertise and knowledge to enhance our services.
Requirements
  • Relevant Qualifications: Hold relevant tertiary qualifications in Psychology with eligibility for registration with AHPRA, or degree qualifications in Social Work or Counselling with current or eligibility for membership with one of AASW, ACA, or PACFA.
  • Experience and Skills: Possess experience working within employment services, with knowledge of psychology assessment and intervention strategies, exceptional communication and rapport-building skills, and the ability to construct accurate and articulate case reports.
  • Cultural Competence: Demonstrate cultural competence and understanding of the needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, with the ability to work effectively with Indigenous clients and communities.
