The successful candidate will have a diverse range of responsibilities, including conducting assessments, providing therapeutic interventions, facilitating groups, and making recommendations to appropriate vocational and non-vocational services. We are particularly interested in attracting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to join our team, as we believe their cultural knowledge and expertise will be invaluable in helping us build our wellness team.
This is a permanent opportunity offering flexible work options, including telehealth opportunities. We are open to full or part-time hours and are willing to consider candidates from anywhere in Australia.
The key duties of the role will include:
- Conducting thorough assessments of candidates with a range of disability and barriers to employment;
- Providing counselling interventions as needed, utilising various psychological methodologies;
- Referencing candidates to additional external support services to help address barriers;
- Providing evaluations on assessments and monitoring the progression of cases;
- Liaising with medical professionals and community agencies on behalf of candidates; and
- Providing training and guidance to atWork staff on psychological services and procedures.
We are looking for a qualified Allied Health Professional with relevant tertiary qualifications in Psychology and eligibility for registration with AHPRA. Experience working within employment services is highly regarded, but not essential. We are also interested in candidates with knowledge of psychology assessment and intervention strategies, exceptional communication and rapport-building skills, and the ability to construct accurate and articulate case reports.
