About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Services Manager to join our team at BDO. As a key member of our Business Services division, you will play a critical role in ensuring our clients' success by providing world-class advisory and compliance services.

As a Business Services Manager, you will be responsible for managing client engagements and ongoing relationships, leading and advising on business services, accounting and tax engagements, and preparing and reviewing financial statements in accordance with regulatory, accounting and financial reporting standards.

You will also be responsible for performing various tax planning tasks for clients, preparing advice relating to business operations and regulatory matters, and working autonomously on tax and FBT returns to identify non-compliance issues.

Additionally, you will provide ongoing support for virtual CFO engagements with clients and engage with our culture of coaching and mentoring staff on engagements.

What You'll Bring

To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent written and verbal communication skills, commercial skills with business acumen, and the ability to adapt your communication style to suit different audiences.

You will also need to be a self-driven individual who assumes responsibility and accountability, with leadership and management skills to mentor and coach team members.

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong digital skills, including a good working knowledge of MS Office applications, cloud accounting platforms and add-ons
  • Ability to monitor progress and remain 'across' jobs, owning them and striving to adhere to short and long-term deadlines
  • Willingness and ability to bring new ideas to the table
