About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned HR professional to join our team as a key strategic partner.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for building strong relationships with leaders and driving initiatives that align with business goals.

You will act as a trusted advisor, change agent, and coach to managers across various functions, contributing to a high-performance and inclusive workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Partnership: Align HR activities with business strategies and objectives.
  • Leadership Coaching: Support leaders through change, growth, and transformation initiatives.
  • Talent Management: Contribute to the design and execution of HR strategic plans and lead the rollout of key HR processes.
Employee Relations and Industrial Partnerships
  • Workplace Investigations: Conduct investigations, manage outcomes, and support disciplinary processes.
  • Employee Engagement: Promote positive employee relations and manage union interactions in line with local labour legislation.
  • Employment Law: Apply knowledge of employment law and industrial relations to coach managers through complex issues.
Talent Acquisition and Capability Development
  • Talent Development: Drive leadership and talent development, succession planning, and workforce capability.
  • Recruitment: Support recruitment activities and ensure alignment with employer branding and diversity goals.
  • HR Systems: Maintain and manage HRIS systems and recruitment trackers.
Organisational Development and Wellbeing
  • Change Management: Partner with leaders to implement change management and organisational development initiatives.
  • Wellbeing: Promote a culture of inclusion, safety, wellbeing, and continuous improvement.
  • Safety Initiatives: Support and lead health and safety initiatives across the plant.
Compliance and Risk Management
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant HR policies, WHS regulations, and ISO standards.
  • Risk Management: Manage HR risks and contribute to a culture of accountability and safety.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Essential: Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field. Minimum 3 years' experience in a Human Resources Business Partner or generalist role. Strong knowledge of industrial relations and workplace legislation. Experience with coaching, facilitation, and organisational development.
  • Desirable: Experience working in a unionised, manufacturing or logistics environment. Previous exposure to a matrix or global organisation structure. Knowledge of HRIS systems and data management tools. Experience in workforce planning and strategic talent reviews.
