Airborne Maintenance Engineer for DHC-8 Classic Aircraft

Airborne Solutions Australia is seeking a highly motivated and skilled B1 AME to join our team in Darwin, offering an exciting opportunity to work on the largest civil maritime surveillance operation in the world.
About UsWe provide aerial surveillance services under contract to the Australian Border Force and search-and-rescue capabilities across nearly 10 percent of the earth's surface. Our team is committed to delivering exceptional results and ensuring a safe working environment.
Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities:
- Ensure all aircraft maintenance is carried out in line with relevant manuals, procedures, and responsible CAMO requirements.
- Hold Safety as a core value and contribute to achieving a Zero Harm and incident-free environment.
- Perform duties of an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, including general condition upkeep of hangars and workshops.
- Responsible for personal tool control and equipment used in maintenance.
- Report defects found during maintenance to certifying engineers.
Essential Criteria:
- Australian Citizen.
- Willing to relocate to Darwin if not already a resident.
- Sound communication and troubleshooting skills.
- Proven ability to work in a team environment.
- Demonstrated time management and organisational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Line maintenance and heavy maintenance experience.
- Cert IV Aeroskills – Mechanical.
- Dash 8 Experience.
- Confined space training.
- Current first aid Certificate.
- Forklift license.
$120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Location:Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia.
