Community Safety Officer

About the Role
The City of Stirling is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Community Patrol Officer to join our Community Safety team.
As a Community Patrol Officer, you will work with the community to create a safer City by providing a highly visible and responsive service that engages with the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct community patrols throughout the City's 30 unique suburbs.
- Observe, monitor and report suspicious behaviours to reduce preventable crime.
- Provide advice and information on various relevant Acts, Regulations and Local Laws.
- Investigate complaints and action solutions for our Community.
- Collaborate with WA Police as required, sharing relevant information.
Requirements:
- Security industry or related experience, including experience with community patrols, alarm response protocol and using CCTV systems.
- An understanding of local community safety and security issues.
- The ability to confidently engage with the community and deal with difficult situations to achieve positive outcomes.
- Experience in accurately reporting and capturing information in reporting systems.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
