About the Role

The City of Stirling is seeking motivated and customer-focused individuals to join our Community Safety team as Community Patrol Officers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing a highly visible and responsive service that engages with the community.
  • Observing, monitoring and reporting suspicious behaviors to reduce preventable crime.
  • Collaborating with WA Police as required, sharing relevant information.

We achieve this by offering 24-hour, 365-day-a-year service, conducting community patrols throughout the City's 30 unique suburbs, and providing advice and information on various Acts, Regulations and Local Laws.

Requirements:
  • Security industry or related experience, including experience with community patrols, alarm response protocol, and using CCTV systems.
  • An understanding of local community safety and security issues.
  • The ability to confidently engage with the community and deal with difficult situations to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Experience in accurately reporting and capturing information in reporting systems.

  • A salary range of $74,376 - $78,432 per annum, plus superannuation and penalties where applicable.

This permanent full-time position is a Level 5 Inside Workforce Agreement position, which attracts a salary from $74,376 - $78,432 per annum, plus superannuation and penalties where applicable. To be eligible to work for us, you need to provide or have the ability to obtain a National Police Clearance (valid within the last 3 months), Pre-Employment Medical and DAS clearance, and the right to work in Australia.
