We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Family Support Specialist to join our Connected Families Team in Ipswich.

This is a permanent, full-time role that offers a competitive salary of $85,126 - $91,588 per annum (SCHADS L4), plus superannuation, generous salary packaging, and a range of benefits.

The successful applicant will have a degree in Social Work, Social Science, Psychology, or a related discipline from a recognised institution and sound knowledge and understanding of the Queensland Child Protection system.

As a Family Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing quality service delivery to children, young people, families, and the community within the Connected Families Service.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing support and case management for families engaged in the service, with a focus on highly vulnerable families.
  • Using the applicable Model of Practice and service guidelines, assisting clients in achieving their goals as identified in relevant planning documentation.
  • Working collaboratively with your line manager to identify client needs and deliver appropriate services within available resources.
  • Building and maintaining trusting and meaningful working relationships with clients and relevant stakeholders.
  • Supporting and providing opportunities for life and personal skill development for clients by role modelling expected behaviours.
