About the Role

The Star Sydney is currently seeking an experienced Safety and Security Officer to join our high-performing team. As a key member of our safety team, you will play a critical role in maintaining a welcoming, friendly, and safe environment for all employees, visitors, and patrons.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular patrols of the property to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
  • Monitor and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to patrons, responding to their inquiries and addressing their needs.
  • Collaborate with the Surveillance team to proactively identify and report illegal and undesirable behavior.
  • Conduct comprehensive entry point vetting, ensuring the safety and security of our patrons and employees.
  • Assist with responsible services of alcohol, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • National Police Check and NSW Security Licence (SLED 1AC).
  • NSW RSA and RCG Competency Cards, with First Aid accreditation (or willingness to obtain).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work 8-12 hour shifts across a 24/7 rotating roster.
