Lead Event Professional

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Events Manager to join our team.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who's ready to lead impactful events in a purpose-driven organisation.
- Manage end-to-end delivery of national and state-based events, including conferences, gala dinners, awards nights and webinars, across physical, digital, and hybrid formats.
You'll be responsible for curating event programs, managing event committees, overseeing venue selection, catering, AV, digital platforms, managing key sponsor and stakeholder relationships, coordinating travel and accommodation logistics for speakers and staff, leading onsite event execution with precision and professionalism, delivering awards show production and gala dinner logistics, monitoring budgets, tracking KPIs, and completing post-event evaluations and reporting.
This role requires 3-5 years' experience in event management, ideally within associations, conferences, or complex event environments. You should have demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities, strong skills in program development and committee management, proven experience negotiating with suppliers and managing key relationships, proficiency in Microsoft Office and event platforms such as Evexus, Jomablue or Aventri, digitally savvy mindset and interest in evolving event technologies, excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, ability to work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative team culture, and willingness to travel and work flexible hours during event periods.
About the RoleIn this role, you will contribute to the delivery of Ozwater, the largest water conference and exhibition in the Southern Hemisphere, working closely with internal teams, sponsors, volunteers, and suppliers to ensure outstanding outcomes.

We are looking for a candidate with 3-5 years' experience in event management, ideally within associations, conferences, or complex event environments. The ideal candidate should have:
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities

- Proven experience negotiating with suppliers and managing key relationships
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and event platforms such as Evexus, Jomablue or Aventri
- Digitally savvy mindset and interest in evolving event technologies

- Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative team culture
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours during event periods
