Job Opportunity: Process Operator

We are seeking a skilled Process Operator to join our team at the St Ives Gold Mine.

This is a key role within our Processing department, where you will be responsible for operating the processing plant and associated equipment in a safe, productive and efficient manner.

You will work on a 4 days on, 4 nights on, 6 days off roster and be residential in Kambalda or Kalgoorlie. Bus transportation between Kalgoorlie and site is provided.

The successful candidate will have previous experience operating a mineral processing plant, preferably gold, and sound knowledge of process technologies and equipment including Citect control system.

A strong understanding of production processes, safety procedures, and environmental regulations is essential.

You will be responsible for:

  • Operating all processing plant equipment relating to crushing, grinding, gravity, leach, adsorption, elution, and tails storage facility;
  • Managing the process control system;
  • Identifying and diagnosing items of the plant that require preventative maintenance or repair;
  • Ensuring production activities achieve maximum effective use of the plant and equipment;
  • Improving output or efficiency of the plant through proactive measures;
  • Operating IT loader, bobcat, forklift, and power tools safely and correctly;
  • Contributing to the development of competencies of other employees as directed;
  • Complying with the requirements of the Personal Safety and Health Commitment and employee Duty of Care obligations.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot problems;
  • Strong computing skills in word processing, spreadsheets, and databases;
