Role Overview

The key purpose of this role is to drive testing activities to deliver high-quality software products and ensure smooth release processes.

This role will be responsible for building test cases, executing tests, identifying and mitigating risks, creating relevant test artefacts, defining and planning release schedules, and collaborating with the Program Test Manager and Project Team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and document test scenarios and test cases in accordance with business requirements.
  • Execute step-by-step test scenarios and document results/defects.
  • Validate end-to-end functionality and integrated systems to meet specifications.
  • Track and report defects and communicate testing progress to the project team.
  • Assist end-users during program testing phases, including UAT, SIT, and PVT.
  • Collaborate with developers, product owners, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Participate in requirements and design reviews to provide input on testability and quality assurance activities.
  • Identify and manage risks associated with the testing process and escalate as required.
  • Communicate release updates effectively to stakeholders, including development and QA teams, project managers, and program test managers.
  • Collaborate across teams to resolve issues and ensure successful releases.

Key Role Relationships

  • Internal: Core Technology, Business Analysts, Product Owners, Business Leads, Process Leads, and Program Test Manager.
  • External: Software and Implementation Services Partners.

Capability and Experience

  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a Test Analyst, consistently delivering successful testing and quality assurance outcomes for large and complex projects.
  • Experience working with Salesforce and JDE is highly desired.
  • Experience working with Confluence is ideal.
  • Have worked on big and complex transformational projects.
  • Comfortable working in an ambiguous environment.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and an industry-recognised qualification in project management, such as SAFe Agile.
  • Demonstrated experience working as a Test Analyst within Agile/Scrum-based environments.
  • Experience in release management is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • An expert understanding of the software development lifecycle.
  • Experience with JIRA-based testing management tools.
