Fonda Mexican is seeking a highly skilled and ambitious Senior Chef to lead our culinary team in a permanent full-time role.
Main Responsibilities:
- Menu Planning: Design and implement menus that showcase our Mexican cuisine while meeting customer demands.
- Culinary Team Management: Oversee the preparation and cooking of menu items, ensuring quality and consistency.
- Staff Development: Mentor and train junior chefs, promoting career growth and development.
- Kitchen Operations: Manage inventory, stock rotation, and ordering to optimize labor costs and food safety.
- Food Safety and Quality: Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
Requirements:
- Culinary Experience: 3 years of full-time cooking experience or 2 years with a Certificate IV or higher in Commercial Cookery.
- Food Safety Certification: Current Certificate in Food Safety (desirable but not mandatory).
- Work Permit: Possess a valid work permit for Australia.
- Availability: Willingness to work weekends, late nights, and public holidays.
