South Australia's infrastructure and transport sector plays a vital role in connecting its residents to the state's many attractions.

The Department for Infrastructure and Transport is a leading government agency responsible for delivering public transport services, ensuring that millions of South Australians can move safely and efficiently around the state.

This key position, Senior Operations Coordinator, contributes significantly to the success of Public Transport South Australia (PTSA) by managing the development, execution, and maintenance of rail interface agreements and audits.

To excel in this role, you will need strong leadership skills, expertise in rail operations and engineering principles, as well as experience working with risk and safety management frameworks.

As a Rail Safety Worker, you will be classified as a Category 4 Non-Safety Critical Worker and required to adhere to the Rail Commissioner's Safety Management System.

Please note that some out-of-hours and weekend work may be required, along with intra- and interstate travel that may involve overnight stays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage the development, execution, and maintenance of rail interface agreements and audits.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance with Network Rules and Regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports related to rail operations and safety.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., transportation, engineering, business administration).
  • At least 3 years of experience in rail operations or a related field.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of rail operations, engineering principles, and risk management frameworks.
