About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused individual to lead the establishment and management of a new, pivotal unit- The Clinical Access and Resource Unit (CARU). The CARU Operations Manager will have the unique opportunity to shape this innovative unit from the ground up, playing a critical role in optimising patient access, streamlining resource management, and enhancing care transitions across acute, subacute, and aged care settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and recruit team members to support the core functions of the Clinical Access and Resource Unit.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimise patient access and streamline resource management.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance care transitions and improve patient outcomes.
  • Lead the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective resource allocation.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of the CARU, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
Requirements
  • Current registered nurse with AHPRA registration.
  • Extensive clinical knowledge, skills, and experience in a health setting.
  • Project management skills.
  • Recruitment experience.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated management experience, including staff management.
