Regional Water Treatment Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Regional Water Treatment Specialist to join our Nalco Water team in Western Australia.

About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate with Chemistry, Science or Chemical Engineering background, or an experienced person with a history in similar industry to work with our clients that are predominantly based in the Rockingham to Busselton region.
The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing our existing and potential new clients including major industrial and mineral processing facilities. The role involves regular travel within Western Australia so there may be a need for overnight stays.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in the servicing of our customers in the sector.
- Conduct equipment testing and maintenance, water sampling, chemical analysis and ensure the optimal application of chemical treatment programs.
- Assist with the troubleshooting of technical problems in a timely manner to ensure ongoing chemical treatment of process unit operations and water treatment facilities.
- Develop strong client relationships by driving value added and focused service delivery.
- Manage customer inventories and product delivery.
- Gain a better understanding of our in-field process and water treatment services.
- Work with the direct assistance of our existing sales professionals to gain new business via focused planning, targeted prospecting, industry networking, and partnership with internal sales and support teams.
To be successful, ideally you will have:
- Recent Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or Science degree (or) experience in industry setting.
- Strong technical problem-solving ability.
- A desire to work in the water treatment and mineral processing industries.
- A strong aptitude for customer service sales.
- Ability to perform both individually and in a team environment.
- An innate ability to quickly develop rapport and build strong working relationships with users of the products and chemical treatment programs.
- A pro-active approach to learning the technical aspects of the business.
- High commitment to Safety, Environment, Occupational Health and Quality.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
