Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Demi Chef to join our team at Garden Kitchen & Bar. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for supporting the leadership team, motivating the team, and ensuring consistency in high-quality product and service standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Stock Management: Monitor and manage stock levels to ensure optimal inventory and minimize waste.
  • Quality Control: Ensure the quality and consistency of all food leaving the kitchen, adhering to our high standards and food safety guidelines.
  • Team Development: Mentor and develop the Commis' and Apprentice Chefs in the brigade, providing guidance and support to help them grow in their roles.

Requirements

  • Culinary Experience: Proven experience as a chef in a 5-star environment or large restaurant, with a strong understanding of kitchen operations and management.
  • Work Rights and Availability: Full work rights and flexible availability over a 7-day roster, with the ability to work varied shifts and meet the demands of a busy kitchen.
  • Quality Focus: Experience driving quality and consistency, with a passion for a diverse range of food and a keen desire for continuous learning and improvement.
  • Hygiene and Cleanliness: Ability to ensure a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness within the kitchens, adhering to our strict health and safety protocols.
