Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Senior Financial Specialist to join our team. This high-end role involves preparing financial statements and tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships, and individuals.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have 1-5+ years of public practice accounting experience, CA or CPA qualifications, and a strong understanding of taxation laws. You will be responsible for providing complex tax advice, dealing with CGT, Div7a, UPE, GST, SBTC, FTE/IEE, and FBT.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare financial statements & ITRs for individuals, partnerships, companies, trusts
  2. Prepare and review complex tax returns for mainly SMEs and/or HNWIs
  3. Prepare BAS, and IAS for clients
  4. Provide complex tax advice to clients
  5. Dealing with CGT, Div7a, UPE, GST, SBTC, FTE/IEE, and FBT
  6. Assist with ad-hoc projects as required and audit assistance to clients
  7. Develop and maintain relationships with clients
  8. Comply with professional standards and relevant legislation
  9. Provide technical advice to clients, whilst managing a portfolio of clients
  10. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the data, with all deadlines met
  11. Support junior staff members with their work papers and mentorship
  12. Keep up to date with taxation laws and changes, and partake in training
  13. Implement sound administrative and organisational processes
  14. Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
  15. Proficient with MYOB AE/AR & XERO

Requirements:

  • CA or CPA qualification pending
  • Public practice accounting experience in Australia
  • Strong understanding of taxation laws and regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Proficient in MYOB AE/AR & XERO
