Procurement Specialist Role

The Procurement Specialist will play a pivotal role in procurement activities for high-profile infrastructure projects, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and quality-driven outcomes that meet safety, environmental targets, and client expectations.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Identify supplier markets, manage end-to-end Request for Quotation (RFQ) processes, and engage relevant suppliers during the pre-bidding, bidding, and post-bidding phases to maintain commercial competitiveness and offer validity.
  • Issue RFQs to shortlisted suppliers and lead the RFQ process; evaluate proposals for major categories including material, equipment, and plant, subcontractor works, and services, delivering the commercial outcome within a defined timeframe.
  • Utilize data analysis skills to provide insights and draw meaningful conclusions from large datasets, making informed recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Maintain effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure the procurement process is undertaken efficiently and compliantly.
  • Nurture supplier relationships and stay informed about market trends, especially promoting safety, environmental, and sustainability aspects in procurement.
Key Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience gained in Supply chain and Procurement Departments within multinational contexts;
  • An Engineering and construction industry background is highly desirable.
  • A Bachelor's degree in business, finance, supply chain, or Engineering;
  • Proficiency in negotiation techniques and strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills, with confidence in creating reports to support decision-making processes;
  • Excellent proficiency in MS Office, SAP MM, and Business Intelligence Software.
