HSEQ Coordinator Job Opportunity
Are you a self-motivated HSEQ professional looking for a role that sees you partnering with project owners and supporting business requirements? This position may be the ideal fit for you.
This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of the local HSEQ function in South Australia, while working closely with a national team for support and mentoring. You will play a key role in supporting project managers in delivering safe and compliant projects, conducting audits, risk assessments, and inspections, and providing training and guidance to teams on the ground.
About the Role
- Support project managers in implementing and maintaining HSEQ management systems.
- Review and monitor HSEQ plans, subcontractor documentation, and SWMS.
- Conduct site audits, inspections, and safety walks to ensure compliance with WHS legislation and company standards.
- Facilitate inductions, pre-starts, toolbox talks, and on-site training.
- Support incident and injury management processes, including return-to-work requirements.
- Monitor project risk assessments, ensuring new risks are identified and controlled.
- Prepare and compile monthly reporting, updating internal systems as required.
- Promote a positive safety culture across sites and projects.
Requirements
- Minimum qualification in Health and Safety.
- At least 5 years' experience in HSEQ within construction or a related industry.
- Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, codes, and management systems.
- Current return-to-work qualifications.
- Experience with WorkCover, workers' compensation, or occupational rehabilitation highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven ability to foster and drive a positive safety culture.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Accountability, reliability, and strong attention to detail.
