Job Title: Health, Safety and Environmental Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) specialist to join our organization. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and environmental well-being of our employees, contractors, and clients.

The HSE specialist will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance on HSE matters, including developing and implementing HSE policies, procedures, and programs. They will also conduct risk assessments, investigations, and audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards.

In addition, the HSE specialist will work closely with stakeholders to ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and industry standards. They will also provide training and awareness programs to promote a culture of safety within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement HSE policies, procedures, and programs
  • Conduct risk assessments, investigations, and audits
  • Provide training and awareness programs
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and industry standards
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to promote a culture of safety

Requirements:

  • +5 years in energy sector in HSE advisory roles or complimentary sectors (industrial, civil, oil and gas, manufacturing)
  • +2 years in HSE advisory role within renewable sector (project based) desirable
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Suite and database management
  • Highly proficient investigative skillset with proven experience in using causation investigation models
  • Good communication, report writing, presentation and stakeholder management skillset
  • Good analytical skillset
  • Lead auditor (9001, 45001 / 4801, 14001 management systems) highly desirable
  • Comprehensive knowledge of OHS / WHS, E legislations within area of accountability
