Job Title: Strategic Agricultural Specialist
\As a strategic agricultural specialist, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing food security and resilience across vulnerable communities in the Pacific Islands and beyond.
\Our organization operates in 11 countries in the Pacific and Asia, working towards an equitable and sustainable world through collaborative approaches. We support government strategies while meeting community needs.
\Key Responsibilities:

- Manage in-country and regional activities that promote community resilience and minimize issues affecting stakeholders and program delivery.\
- Engage stakeholders and donors in constructive dialogue to foster mutual understanding and cooperation.\
- Provide technical guidance on sustainable land management, agricultural extension, nutrition-sensitive agriculture, value chains, and gender and disability inclusion.\
- Collaborate with programs teams and provide technical expertise for monitoring and evaluation and reporting.\
- Develop and implement effective monitoring and evaluation systems using Computer Assisted Personal Interviewing (CAPI) techniques.\
- Ensure that all projects are aligned with our organization's mission and goals.\
- Work closely with local stakeholders to understand their needs and develop tailored solutions.\
- Contribute to the development of reports, proposals, and other documentation as required.\
- Support capacity building initiatives for local partners and staff.\
- Identify opportunities for collaboration and partnerships with other organizations.\
- Strengthen relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and private sector entities.\
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research, trends, and best practices in sustainable agriculture and development.\
- Make recommendations for improvements to our programs and operations.\
- Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to decision-making processes.\
- Travel regularly to project sites and engage with local communities.\
- Adhere to our organization's policies and procedures at all times.\
- Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor.\
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.\
- Monitor and report on progress against project objectives.\
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.\
- Implement and monitor projects in accordance with organizational standards.\
