This is a full-time position based at a prestigious private school in Sydney's eastern suburbs. As a Horticultural Specialist, you will play a key role in maintaining the school's open spaces and gardens, exceeding expectations through your expertise and dedication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of horticultural maintenance staff, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently.
- Perform regular horticultural maintenance, including mowing, edging, pruning, weeding, mulching, and fertilising.
- Maintain ornamental gardens, hedges, lawns, and feature planting areas to premium presentation standards.
- Operate and maintain horticultural tools, machinery, and irrigation systems safely and effectively.
- Assist in seasonal planting, turf renovation, and landscape improvement projects.
- Identify and treat plant pests, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies.
- Collaborate with grounds and facilities staff to support school events and operational needs.

About You:

You should have a Certificate III in Horticulture or Parks & Gardens and excellent working knowledge of horticultural tools and equipment. A willingness to obtain a White Card and Working with Children's check is also required.
