Employee Relations Specialist

Role Overview:This is an exciting opportunity for seasoned HR/ER professionals to become a vital part of our People Advisory team. Reporting directly to the Manager of People Advisory, the successful candidate will assist our leaders in fostering an exceptional workplace for our employees while delivering outstanding service to our clients. As a Senior Advisor, you will play a key role in helping leaders mitigate risks and enhance workplace culture and performance to achieve strategic business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:- Delivering guidance, support, and coaching to leaders on issues such as performance management, misconduct, grievances, fitness for work, and team dynamics.
- Conducting workplace investigations of varying complexities.
- Mentoring leaders to enhance their people management skills.
- Advising on the interpretation of enterprise agreements and employment contracts.
- Engaging in the identification, implementation, and continuous enhancement of employee relations initiatives, processes, policies, and procedures.
- Potential involvement in claims and disputes before relevant commissions.
In a collaborative and supportive team environment, you will have the chance to refine your skills across a variety of matters and projects. You should be business-oriented, adept at relationship building, and possess strong coaching and mentoring abilities. The ideal candidate will have the experience and confidence to provide expert guidance on a range of people and employment relations issues. This is a hands-on role, requiring a proactive approach to effectively resolve challenges alongside the team and leadership.
Essential Skills and Experience:- A degree in Human Resources Management or a related field.
- Significant experience in HR generalist roles, employee relations, and/or case management, preferably within a medium to large multi-disciplinary organization.
- Experience with a field-based blue-collar workforce is advantageous but not mandatory.
