About the RoleThe Senior Risk and Legal Advisor plays a vital part in safeguarding our reputation and operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Developing and maintaining risk management frameworks and strategies.
- Conducting risk assessments and provide regular reports to senior leadership, staff, and the Board of Directors.
- Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating contracts and agreements.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and manage compliance audits and regulatory queries.
- Provide ongoing support with the governance of our contract management system.
- Build a risk-aware culture within the organisation through training and communication.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Tertiary qualification in Law, with current admission as a legal practitioner in Australia.
- Additional qualifications in Risk Management, Governance, or Compliance are highly regarded.
- Demonstrated experience (5+ years) in providing in-house legal counsel, preferably in a not-for-profit or membership organisation.
