About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled nursing professional to join our dynamic Perioperative Service team as an Associate Nurse Unit Manager (Clinical Education) in the Operating Theatres. In this pivotal role, you will manage a portfolio focused on clinical education, providing essential support for Transition Registered Nurses and guiding less experienced staff as they navigate their journey from novice to expert.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the coordination, provision, and evaluation of clinical care in the Operating Theatres.
  • Oversee the Operating Theatres in the absence of the Nurse Unit Manager, coordinating unit activities and ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care.
  • Manage a portfolio focused on clinical education, providing support for Transition Registered Nurses and guiding less experienced staff.
  • Foster an environment of learning and collaboration, empowering the next generation of nurses.
About You

We are looking for a registered nurse with current registration and practicing certificate, strong communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills, and proven experience in supervising and mentoring nursing staff. Knowledge of legislative requirements and commitment to safety standards are also essential.
