About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Freedom of Information (FOI) officer to join our team at Randstad. As an FOI officer, you will play a critical role in managing customer-facing email accounts, handling sensitive information, and performing the initial triage and assessment of customer inquiries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough investigations and draft internal reviews and cases for delegate decision.
  • Manage and coordinate responses to FOI requests, subpoenas, and discovery, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
  • Facilitate the clearance of internal FOI reviews through appropriate channels, maintaining confidentiality and discretion.
  • Assess and triage customer inquiries through various mailbox channels, providing exceptional customer service and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Work collaboratively within a small team and across the section to achieve shared goals, leveraging your strong interpersonal skills and ability to build lasting relationships.
  • Handle sensitive information with the utmost discretion, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to relevant legislation and systems.

Must-Haves
  • FOI experience, with a proven track record of working in Freedom of Information processes within the Australian Public Service (APS).
  • Case management experience, particularly within the APS, with a strong understanding of case management principles and practices.
  • AGSVA Baseline Security Clearance, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to relevant security protocols.
  • Australian Citizenship, with a strong understanding of Australian laws and regulations.
