Role Overview

This role shapes strategic financial decisions that influence how government departments receive and allocate funding, invest in infrastructure, and deliver services for communities across Australia.

You will play a crucial part in providing expert advice and support that helps clients achieve their objectives while making a real impact where it matters most.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Advise finance teams on accounting, budgeting, financial and management reporting.
  • Enable better financial outcomes through cost analysis, pricing reviews, sustainability assessments, forecasting, business case evaluation, procurement support and commercial assurance.
  • Improve finance functions by assessing and redesigning operating models, enhancing processes and controls, and supporting digitisation and automation.
  • Stay abreast of changes in accounting standards and industry trends affecting government entities, and incorporate relevant insights into client solutions.

We are seeking candidates for multiple roles at different levels of their consulting career, from Associate through to Senior Manager.

Requirements:
  • Experience working with or within finance, accounting or related fields, supported by a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or a related discipline.
  • Leadership of high performing teams with multiple projects and competing deadlines.
  • A relevant accountancy qualification is advantageous.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines.
