Job Title: Emergency Department Support Specialist

The Princess Alexandra Hospital is seeking an organized and reliable professional to join our 24/7 Emergency Department team as a vital administrative support specialist.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide responsive administrative support to patients, families, and emergency staff, ensuring smooth patient flow and departmental efficiency.
  • Manage patient admissions, financial details, and hospital information systems accurately, making sure all data is up-to-date and secure.
  • Assist nursing and medical teams with coordination of patient transfers, discharges, and paperwork, prioritizing tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Respond promptly to enquiries from patients, police, ambulance, and the general public, demonstrating empathy and strong communication skills.
