About the Role

As a key member of the University of South Australia's leadership team, you will be responsible for driving strategic partnerships with the defence and space sectors, including opportunities related to the AUKUS security partnership. Your expertise will be instrumental in generating revenue through educational, training, research, and innovation partnerships with companies and government agencies domestically and internationally.

About the UniSA Enterprise Hub

The UniSA Enterprise Hub serves as the industry front door for the University, uniting industry partners with UniSA researchers, educators, and students on activities that solve real-world problems, drive progress, and shape business and community prosperity in South Australia and beyond. This hub brings together the experience and expertise of UniSA Ventures, the Innovation & Collaboration Centre (ICC), Business Development, and Research Services to support a range of activities from start-ups to mature business regeneration and commercialisation.

Essential Skills and Experience
  • Outstanding record of achievement in Defence, Government, or University sectors, focused on business development or related disciplines.
  • Exceptional understanding of industry, professional, and government environments in Australia and internationally, in relation to defence and space.
  • Proven ability to establish partnerships with industry and collaborate with national and international organisations in areas related to research and development.
  • Demonstrated capability in leading large programs of work, tender management, business development, and the generation of income.
  • Experience developing and implementing strategic plans and leading and guiding teams to achieve strategic outcomes.
  • Eligibility to obtain security clearance NV1.
