About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Engineering Manager to join our Adelaide office. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing projects within the Defence maritime sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Support the Engineering Tasks required to complete assigned projects using your strong Engineering background in the Maritime domain.
  • Effectively engage and manage stakeholders at all levels, including defence authorities, naval personnel, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Identify and assess potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring optimal utilization of resources while maintaining cost control.
  • Monitor project progress, track milestones, and adjust schedules as required.
  • Establish quality standards and ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and specifications.
  • Prepare and deliver regular project status reports, progress updates, and presentations to key stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in Project Management, specifically within the Defence maritime sector.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Project Management and Engineering.
  • Extensive experience in Systems Engineering or other relatable Engineering Field.
  • In-depth knowledge of defence maritime systems, equipment, technologies, and engineering frameworks.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to navigate through changing project requirements and priorities.
  • AGSVA Security Clearance - NV1 and above.
