We are seeking a skilled Works Planning Manager to oversee the planning and rostering management of blue collar staff and plant resources in order to ensure the effective delivery of works programs.

This role will involve providing effective leadership and fostering sustainable working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to contribute to site safety, quality and environment controls and risk management.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordination and collaboration on current and planned resource requirements for blue collar and plant resources;
  • Collaboration with project teams to determine resource requirements and generate forecasts;
  • Leading the development of rostering and ensuring competencies are maintained within the RIW Competency management portal;
  • Overseeing Training and Competency requirements of blue-collar workers to meet business needs;
  • Monitoring labour and plant resourcing to achieve targets and foster a high-performance team;
  • Providing leadership on health, safety and environment management;
  • Managing industrial relations issues and developing resolutions;
  • Conducting performance management evaluations for direct reports;
  • Managing administrative duties and adhering to company policies and procedures.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in an engineering or project management discipline;
  • A current Class C driving licence;
  • Extensive experience in planning, delivering and rostering blue collar labour in a construction and operational environment;
  • 2-5 years previous construction experience in a similar role.
