We are seeking a passionate individual to join our team as a Care Coordinator for Independent Living in Newcastle, NSW, Australia.
Salary
The attractive hourly rate for this position is AU$35.18 per hour (approximate annual salary: AU$73,430) + Super + Penalty Rates, along with a range of benefits including a Well-being Allowance and discounted gym membership.
Job Description
This exciting opportunity will see you working across our lively accommodation houses in Wallsend, providing compassionate care and empowerment to our clients. Your duties will include:
- Supporting clients to develop and maintain independence, and advocating for their individual needs.
- Delivering personalised support by assisting clients at mealtimes, personal care, administering medication, manual handling using a variety of equipment and aids.
- Monitoring the well-being of clients and reporting on their progress.
- Transporting clients in our wheelchair-accessible vans and pool cars.
- Being part of a dynamic and fun team.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Demonstrated commitment to supporting and promoting the individual needs of our unique customers.
- Flexibility to work on a 24/7 rotating roster; you will be required to work across morning, afternoon, and active night shifts, including weekend and public holiday shifts.
- A current NSW Driver's Licence (P2 minimum).
