Key Roles and Responsibilities:

We are seeking a senior design professional to lead the project design and scope from tender through delivery. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the project team, ensuring designs meet customer requirements, utilizing company resources efficiently and maximizing profitability.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain a comprehensive Design Plan throughout the project duration.
  • Coordinate all design elements between team members to ensure seamless collaboration.
  • Monitor and assess the adequacy of design resources allocated to the project.
  • Ensure that all necessary reviews, verifications and validations are planned and conducted, incorporating outcomes into the design.
  • Verify that the design adheres to safety, environmental, construction, commissioning, and operating standards.

For this role, we require:

  • A 4-year degree qualification to Bachelor status in Engineering.
  • Engineering degrees in Electrical or Civil/Structural disciplines preferred.
  • Prior experience managing large utilities projects, particularly with High Voltage substations and/or transmission lines, is highly regarded.
  • Strong leadership skills with effective communication abilities, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • The ability to work independently, prioritizing tasks, meeting deadlines, and handling multiple complex demands in a fast-paced environment.
