Senior Structural Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to lead a structural design team. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in leading project teams, building client relationships and providing technical advice across the structural discipline.

  • Assist in growing the team and developing engineers and designers
  • Review analysis models and calculations
  • Carry out complex structural analysis
  • Prepare and review assessment reports
  • Grow the client base of the structural team
  • Manage key client relationships
  • Liaise with vendors and suppliers
  • Lead bids and proposals
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Civil/Structural Engineering with 7+ years relevant experience
  • Strong knowledge of AS 4100, AS 3600, AS 1170 suite of standards
  • Experience with AS 1418.1, AS 5131 and other relevant standards
  • Strong knowledge of structural steel materials
  • Proficient in structural analysis software such as Space Gass
  • Strong understanding of safety in design principles
  • Strong understanding of facilities engineering for brownfield resource projects
  • Strong understanding of workflow and interactions in multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong understanding of fabrication and detailing of structural steel
  • Experienced in lifting, installation studies and construction support
  • Knowledge of finite element analysis
  • Proven track record in project delivery
  • Strong industry knowledge and presence
  • Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining key client relationships
  • Chartered status would be highly regarded
