Overview

This role is ideal for a highly organized and motivated individual who thrives in a dynamic environment.

As a Community Engagement Assistant, you will provide administrative support to our team of dedicated professionals who are passionate about strengthening community connections and empowering social housing tenants.

You will play a key part in the delivery of community development and placemaking activities and events that aim to improve health and wellbeing outcomes for people living in social housing communities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative support to the team including record keeping, managing logistics, preparing invoices, and managing the team inbox.
  • Assist with on-the-ground event planning, promotion, and coordination.
  • Take meeting minutes and record data at community events.
  • Maintain a closed online group and create content to promote and celebrate community events.
  • Engage with community members in a responsive and respectful manner.
About You (Essential Requirements)

To succeed in this role, you will need the following skills and qualifications:

  • A current NSW driving license.
  • Experience working in a busy administrative environment.
  • Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivation and a learning mindset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
