Power System Specialist sought by a leading provider of electromechanical equipment and services. This role involves working with clients to design, analyse, and optimise power systems for grid stability across various projects in Australia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the sale of grid stability solutions and energy generation/storage plants by identifying opportunities, engaging with clients, and delivering tailored solutions.
  • Develop and review electrical design documentation, including single line diagrams, schematics, and equipment specifications.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support the planning, design, and delivery of power system projects.
  • Assist in the integration of renewable energy sources (e.g. solar, wind, hydro) into the grid.
  • Development of supply chains for integrated plant solutions.
  • Work with stakeholders to define system requirements, technical standards, and project deliverables.
  • Take ownership of sales targets, contribute to strategic account planning, and support favourable contract negotiations and terms.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Power System Engineering / Electrical Engineering or similar discipline is required.
  • Demonstrated experience in technical sales or engineering within the high voltage industry.
  • Extensive knowledge in technologies for grid stability, such as GFM, GFL, BESS, (e)-STATCOMs, syncon solutions.
  • Proven knowledge of power system analysis software such as DIgSILENT, PowerFactory, ETAP, PSSE/PSCAD, or similar.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to develop positive relationships with internal/external customers, clients, and colleagues.
