Job Description

This role is part of a joint venture project located in the Sydney CBD, with occasional site visits. Once operational, the project will transition to a 24/7 roster in the Central West Orana Region.


The project involves the design and construction of a transmission network, which will deliver at least 4.5 GW of capacity by 2028, powering over 2 million homes annually.

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Project Engineer to join our Transmission Line team.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate engineering activities, including technical, inspection, scheduling, procurement, and quality control.
  • Lead subcontractors, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to standards.
  • Address outstanding defects, record non-conformances, and initiate corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE policies, assess risks, and address safety and environmental issues promptly.
  • Support planning, design, and resource management for effective project delivery.
  • Manage documentation, conduct team meetings, and communicate with stakeholders.
  • Coordinate resource allocation and foster teamwork.
  • Oversee cost control, budget, and subcontractor agreements.
Required Skills and Competencies:

At least 8+ years of engineering experience in infrastructure construction.

Minimum 3 years as a Senior Project Engineer.

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Relevant leadership experience.

Knowledge of HS&E requirements.

Experience in project cost control.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Proficiency in MS Office and budgeting/planning software.
