Job PurposeThe Disability Support Worker will provide personalized support to participants, facilitating their involvement in daily activities and living skills programs. This role requires a strong understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and experience working with individuals with disabilities.
Key Responsibilities- Assist participants with daily activities and home-based tasks
- Provide short-term interventions, psycho-education, and mentoring
- Facilitate daily personal hygiene and care tasks
- Coordinate and facilitate community access
- Provide emotional support and encouragement
- Enhance participant communication and choice-making processes
- Implement and monitor Behaviour Management Strategies as required
- Goal planning and tracking
- Empower participants with learning, skill development, and employment
- Transport participants to medical and social activities as required
- Certificate III or IV in Disability or Aged Care
