As a Senior Accountant, you will be part of a dynamic and energetic team at SB Recruitment in the Inner West, working on financial planning functions for the Bullion division. Your role will involve overseeing accounting, controls, financial and management reporting, as well as planning and budgeting.

Job Description

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the Finance Manager in ensuring accurate processing of sales orders and purchase order payments.
  • Monitoring subledger movements against the general ledger to guarantee accuracy and completeness.
  • Providing weekly reports on working capital to ensure optimal cash flow management.
  • Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, audit requirements, and regulatory obligations.
  • Assisting the Finance Manager in meeting tax compliance and reporting responsibilities.
  • Completing month-end activities on time for review by the Finance Manager.

You will work closely with the internal inventory controller, business operations team, and key group stakeholders to drive continuous improvements to internal controls, processes, and reporting.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

  • Relevant degree in accounting or economics and working towards CA or CPA qualifications with 3+ years hands-on accounting experience.
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience is an advantage but not essential.
  • Preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations and investigating variances.
  • Overseeing intercompany reconciliations for multiple divisions.
  • Finalising month-end trial balance and management accounts with BAS ensuring alignment, compliance and completeness in line with group reporting deadlines.
