**About the Role**

Future You is seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join their Finance team in a high-profile end-to-end finance role.

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring the timely completion of month-end close, balance sheet reconciliation, year-end & half-year financial statement preparation.
  • Preparing the Group consolidation and elimination entries.
  • Investigating variances and assisting with APRA reporting.
  • Reconciling loan transactions to the bank and assisting in the preparation of BAS, FBT, and Income Tax returns.
  • Preparing tax effect accounting for the Group and managing relationships with external auditors.
  • Researching and preparing technical accounting papers, including credit losses and revenue.
  • Working closely with various AASB accounting standards to drive process improvements and projects.

**Requirements**

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • CA/CPA qualification and 3-6 years of external audit experience in a BIG 4/Mid-Tier Professional Services CA firm or a similar Senior Financial Accountant role within a Group Finance team.
  • Experience working with various AASB standards and technical accounting papers.
  • Strong tax background and internal controls experience.
  • Confidence in liaising with senior stakeholders and a detailed, hands-on approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic team.
  • Advanced/Intermediate Excel skills, including the ability to build pivots, v-lookups, and complex formulas.

**What We Offer**

Future You offers a competitive salary package, including a base salary of $115,000 to $125,000 per annum, plus superannuation and bonus potential.
