Job Description

Deliver Expert Financial Services as a Senior Principal Accountant.

  • Prepare and submit accurate financial statements for external project funding, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Conduct thorough audit transaction reviews and budget-to-actual analyses to identify areas for improvement, supporting the preparation of the university's annual financial statements and research data reporting.
  • Expertly analyse and interpret legal award letters and contracts to accurately record financial clauses and requirements in the university's financial system.
  • Provide strategic guidance on integrating and implementing university policies, procedures, and external funding requirements into project financial management.
  • Resolve complex grant reporting and reconciliation issues through expert accounting advice and support.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Working collaboratively with the Senior Manager of Contract and Grants Accounting to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Cultivating relationships with internal stakeholders to provide expert accounting advice and support.
