Transformational Program Lead

As a seasoned transformational leader, you will spearhead critical programs and projects from inception to delivery, aligning with Xero's strategic objectives.

Your primary focus will be on leading the overall strategy and direction of these initiatives, ensuring seamless collaboration between Xero's Executive Leadership Team, program, project, and governance teams.

You will play a pivotal role in establishing, chairing, and leading program and project governance groups, fostering open communication and driving successful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for each program, leveraging your expertise in Agile and iterative methodologies.
  • Ensure that program objectives are well-defined, understood, and achieved within agreed parameters.
  • Build and maintain relationships with senior leadership, stakeholders, and vendors to drive program success.
  • Identify and prioritize internal dependencies, influencing resource allocation to accelerate delivery.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve program performance, defining key metrics and success criteria.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in leading complex transformational programs and projects, with a proven track record of success.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Agile and iterative methodologies, as well as waterfall-based delivery methods.
  • Strong vendor management and stakeholder management skills, with experience working at C-level and senior leadership levels.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience leading and delivering programs, with a strong understanding of OKRs and strategic planning.
