Job Summary:

Hospitality Recruits is seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team at a renowned regional hotel in Central New South Wales. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the kitchen operations, menu planning, and ensuring exceptional food quality and presentation.

About the Role:

This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary and bonus structure, as well as the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment. As Head of Culinary Operations, you will be responsible for:

  • Menu Planning: Develop and implement seasonal menus that showcase local and seasonal produce.
  • Food Cost Control: Monitor and manage food costs, labor costs, and inventory levels to ensure profitability.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and train a team of chefs and kitchen staff to ensure exceptional food quality and presentation.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all dishes meet high standards of quality, presentation, and taste.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, ordering, and stock control to minimize waste and optimize profitability.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Certificate 3 in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification.
  • 4+ years of experience in a senior kitchen role, with a proven track record of menu planning, food cost control, and team leadership.
  • Basic pastry skills and ability to train others.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to motivate and train a team of chefs and kitchen staff.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a high level of quality and presentation in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
