We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team at I Maccheroni, a Casual Dining restaurant in New South Wales.

  • Lead a team of passionate chefs
  • Remuneration - $73,150 - $80,000
  • Develop and implement menus and daily/weekly specials

I Maccheroni is a restaurant serving classic Italian food with Australian influences using local fresh products.

We are looking for a professional Executive Chef who can demonstrate:

  • A passion for food and creativity in the kitchen
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • High standards of professionalism and cleanliness
  • Excellent problem solving skills and flexibility

Responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and implementing menus and specials
  • Estimating food and labour costs
  • Ordering food supplies and kitchen equipment
  • Monitoring quality of dishes, preparation and presentation
  • Preparing and cooking food
  • Enforcing Food Health and Safety
  • Discussing food preparation issues with managers and kitchen staff
  • Teaching cooking techniques and procedures to kitchen staff
  • Maintaining contact with suppliers to ensure quality of food and items delivered
  • Continuous self-training in new cooking techniques and style to maintain a fresh and novel menu

These are full time positions working 40-50 hours / 6.5 days. Remuneration packages between $73,150 - $80,000 will be offered to the successful candidates.
