Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Project Engineer to lead the design, procurement, and construction elements of the Material Handling Package for Project Ceres in Karratha.

About This Opportunity

This role involves coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project outcomes. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and excellent communication abilities.

Your Responsibilities

  • Liaise with project stakeholders to achieve project goals and objectives.
  • Develop and implement engineering solutions to meet project requirements.
  • Collaborate with team members to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress and address any issues that may arise.
  • Manage and coordinate the design effort to ensure satisfactory outcomes.
  • Work closely with Technical Specialists to ensure specification compliance and technical integrity of designs.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior team members as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of post-graduate experience in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian Codes and Standards.
  • Able to work unsupervised to achieve results.
  • Excellent computer literacy skills.
  • Possess ability to integrate seamlessly into a project team at any point during its lifecycle.
