Job Overview
At Austin Health, we are seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our dynamic Microbiology Department as a Medical Technician Grade 1. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced individual to contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize computer software efficiently to support diagnostic medical microbiology operations
- Develop effective communication skills and work collaboratively with team members to achieve shared goals
- Manage time and prioritize tasks to maintain a productive and efficient work environment
- Operate various microbiology laboratory automation systems including Kiestra WCA, MALDI-TOF, Atellica Urine Analyser, Bactec Blood Culture System, Vitek Antibiotic Susceptibility Test System, and BD Max PCR
